Chicken Road
A crash game
with a personality.
Chicken Road is a crash-style arcade game by InOut Games, released 4 April 2024. It won Slot of the Year 2025 at the G Gate Awards — rare for a crash title beating hundreds of pokies.
Guide a cartoon chicken across 25 lanes of oncoming traffic. Every safe crossing multiplies your stake. Cash out at any point to lock in your winnings. Wait too long, hit a hidden trap — round ends, stake gone.
Unlike generic crash games with one difficulty, Chicken Road gives you four selectable risk profiles and an industry-best 98% RTP — the most player-friendly crash game at RocketPlay.
4 Difficulty Levels.
Completely Different Games.
Choosing a difficulty rewires the entire mathematical structure of each round — trap count, multiplier ceiling, and survival probability all change. RTP stays 98% throughout all four modes.
Key fact: RTP stays exactly 98% across all four difficulty levels. Difficulty controls volatility — how often you win and how large wins can get. Easy = consistent smaller wins. Hardcore = rare, explosive payouts. The house edge (2%) is identical on every mode.
Survival Probability at Every Step
Every probability in Chicken Road is mathematically calculable from the Provably Fair parameters. This table shows your exact chance of surviving to each step — data most review sites never publish.
| Step | Approx. Multiplier | Easy | Medium | Hard | Hardcore |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ×1.02 – ×1.63 | 96% | 88% | 80% | 60% |
| 2 | ×1.05 – ×2.66 | 92% | 77% | 64% | 36% |
| 3 | ×1.08 – ×4.33 | 88% | 68% | 51% | 22% |
| 4 | ×1.11 – ×7.07 | 85% | 60% | 41% | 13% |
| 5 | ×1.14 – ×11.5 | 82% | 52% | 33% | 8% |
| 8 | ×1.24 – ×50.7 | 72% | 35% | 17% | 2% |
| 10 | ×1.32 – ×135 | 66% | 26% | 11% | <1% |
| 25 🥚 | ×24.5 – ×3.2M | 36% | 3% | <0.3% | ~0% |
Easy Sweet Spot
Cash out at step 5–8. You still have 72–82% survival rate but the multiplier is already working for you. Best bankroll consistency.
Medium Sweet Spot
Target step 3–5. By step 5 you’re at 52% survival — the risk/reward inflection point where expected value peaks on Medium.
Hardcore Warning
Only 8% survival by step 5. The Golden Egg multiplier is extraordinary — but statistically most sessions end before step 4. High rollers only.
How to Play Chicken Road
Learn the game in 60 seconds. Mastering when to cash out — that takes longer.
Open the Game at RocketPlay
Log into RocketPlay and go to Crash Games. Search “Chicken Road” or browse Instant Games. Demo mode is available — no deposit needed to practice with virtual credits.
Select Your Difficulty
Choose Easy, Medium, Hard, or Hardcore at the bottom of the screen. This is the most important decision. New players: always start with Easy (24 safe lanes). You can change difficulty before each round.
Set Your Bet + Auto Cash-Out
Enter your stake (AU$0.01–AU$200). Set an Auto Cash-Out multiplier target — if the chicken reaches it safely, winnings are collected automatically with zero reaction time needed. Experts strongly recommend using Auto Cash-Out.
Preview the Multiplier Path (Unique Feature)
Exclusive to Chicken Road: swipe left before the round to see the full payout path — every multiplier value from lane 1 to the Golden Egg. Plan your exit point before the round starts.
Press Play — Watch the Chicken Move
Hit the green Play button. The chicken hops forward one lane per tap — each hop takes ~0.6 seconds. Multiplier climbs after each safe landing. Desktop players can bind movement to Spacebar in Settings.
Cash Out ← This is the Whole Game
Press the green CASH OUT button after any safe landing. You receive: bet × current multiplier. Hit a trap without cashing out = full stake lost. No partial refunds. No second chances.
The Golden Egg — Maximum Payout
Cross every single lane without cashing out or hitting a trap and the chicken reaches the Golden Egg. Maximum payout for chosen difficulty. On Hardcore: up to AU$20,000. Rare — but verified wins are on record.
Win, Lose & Every Symbol
Manual Cash-Out
Press Cash Out after any safe lane. Instant win: Bet × Current Multiplier. Funds credited immediately to your RocketPlay balance.
Auto Cash-Out Triggered
Pre-set multiplier target reached safely. System collects automatically. Example: AU$10 bet + ×5.0 auto = AU$50 collected, no reaction needed.
🥚 Golden Egg — Max Win
Cross every lane without cashing out or hitting a trap. Maximum payout for chosen difficulty. Hardcore cap: AU$20,000.
Hidden Trap Hit
One or more lanes contain invisible traps. Chicken steps in → round ends instantly. Full stake for that round is lost. No partial refund, no second chance.
Missed Cash-Out Timing
Didn’t press Cash Out before the chicken hit a trap. Each lane takes ~0.6 sec. Use Auto Cash-Out to remove the timing dependency entirely.
Disconnection Mid-Round
Connection drops after round starts → server result stands. Disconnection before play begins → stake returned. Always play on stable connection.

Choose Chicken Road if…
You want the best RTP in the crash category, control over risk via difficulty levels, Provably Fair certification, and the lowest minimum bet. Perfect for disciplined, value-focused Aussie players.
Choose Aviator if…
Social features matter — watching other players cash out, public leaderboards, and the community atmosphere. Aviator’s multiplayer chat creates an energy Chicken Road doesn’t attempt to replicate.
How to Win at Chicken Road
No strategy guarantees wins in a Provably Fair game — but disciplined play dramatically improves your results over sessions.
Decide Your Exit Before You Click Play
Choose your cash-out target before the round, not during it. Mid-hop adrenaline destroys discipline. Pre-set a target and enforce it via Auto Cash-Out. Common targets: Easy ×5–×10, Medium ×10–×30, Hard ×30–×100.
Bankroll Rule: 2–5% Per Round
Never stake more than 2–5% of your session budget per round. AU$100 session = AU$2–$5 bets. This gives 20–50 rounds to ride variance without one bad hop ending your entire session.
Spend 30+ Demo Rounds on Easy First
Players who jump straight to Hard or Hardcore lose their session budget roughly 4× faster on average. Use RocketPlay’s demo mode on Easy for at least 30 rounds before using real AUD.
Never Chase Losses
Past outcomes have zero mathematical influence on the next round. Increasing bet size to “recover” is the most expensive habit in crash gaming. Provably Fair guarantees no correlation between rounds.
